My name is Miyah Myles. I am the site coordinator for Beatrice Mayes Institute, and this is my second year working for St. Elmo Brady STEM Academy. I am currently a junior at the University of Houston majoring in biotechnology and minoring in human development and family studies. Originally, I was majoring in biomedical engineering, however, I switched to biotechnology because I found it to be a better fit for me. I chose this path because I want to pursue a career in genetics whether it be a researcher, geneticist, or genetic counselor.
I look forward to the mentor-mentee partnership with Chevron-Phillips. I really hope to learn more about the professional world and seek advice on connections and experiences as well.
