My name is Alejandra Sanchez-Anaya, and I am a St. Elmo Brady program assistant for Burnet Elementary. I am currently a freshman majoring in Computer Science at the University of Houston. I chose to immerge myself in computer science because it is a dynamic and rapidly growing field that has become an integral part of the world that we live in. Through this mentorship program, I hope to create a bridge from my academic learning to develop my skills for a career in data science. I am interested in data engineering, specifically applying AI and machine learning by streamlining Chevron-Phillips' carbon reducing technologies in a way that would be cost effective.
