My name is Christopher Lowe, I am currently a sophomore at the University of Houston majoring in Chemical Engineering. This is my first year being a mentor with the St. Elmo Brady STEM Academy, and so far I am really enjoying the opportunity. I am a program assistant for the site at Beatrice Mayes Institute. I am very involved with NSBE on campus, the National Society of Black Engineers. It is my second year as an officer in the organization. Last fall I was on the freshman executive board, as the secretary, and this year I have been serving as an outreach ambassador. I am looking forward to the sponsorship program that Chevron-Phillips is partnering with us on, and being able to connect with them and other professionals.
